ABOUT
JUDE BLOCK
Yoga Instructor
“With nurtured roots, branches feel not only secure enough to grow but are also able to flourish while bending and flowing to the rhythm of the journey.” -Jude
As a yoga teacher for all ages and life stages, my approach is rooted in breath-based mindfulness and movement. With a nurturing teaching style, students are guided to build strength and flexibility in body, mind, and energy while cultivating a sense of ease and calm. I view the mat as a workshop – a place to explore, release, and grow while attuning to and honoring what is needed in the moment. This supports students in feeling confidently grounded in their true nature, connected to their intuition, and ever-present.
Over the past 16 years I have been guiding yoga classes, workshops, and retreats throughout Southern Delaware and am the owner of Ever-Present Yoga based in Lewes. As an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) and a Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) with Yoga Alliance, I have been teaching continuously since receiving my certification in 2010 from the Kirpalu-influenced program at the Comfort Zone Center for Whole Self Healing under the direction of Ed Harrold and Rudy Pierce. I am also a certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor for Conscious Birthing studying with internationally-renowned teacher Janice Clarfield, and a Certified VaihAyasa Aerial Yoga Instructor. My continuing education has also included completing Foundations of Children’s Yoga and Mindfulness Training with Little Flower Yoga, Mindfulness Fundamentals and Mindfulness Educator Essentials through Mindful Schools, Ayurveda 201: Ayurvedic Psychology, and a Chakra Yoga teacher training guided by Larissa Hall Carlson. Through the University of Florida Muma School of Business I earned a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace certificate.
Yoga became part of my life after taking my very first class nearly 3 decades ago. The practice continually evolves and inspires me and I’m ever-grateful for the opportunity to share, guide, and support others on their yoga journey.
