ABOUT
Christine Rassa
Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health
I earned my Master’s in Psychology and Clinical Counseling from The Citadel Graduate College in Charleston, South Carolina, and I am currently practicing as a LPC-S in DE and VA. As a certified Clinical hypnotherapist, I offer this unique process to my clients. I enjoy working with young adults, adults, couples, and families who are looking to enhance their relationships with themselves and between themselves. My specialized focus is in supporting woman experiencing maternal mental health concerns including infertility or perinatal loss.
My therapeutic practice integrates traditional and holistic approaches by extending IFS (internal family systems), CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and Hypnotherapy. Engaging talk therapy compliments the exercise of self-compassion with skills to practice and identify emotional influences that determine either a heightened reaction or a composed response. I believe that as a client connects with their therapeutic method, they will begin to recognize and investigate their own internal and external emotional responses. Gaining self-awareness promotes healing to our
mind that has been replying on past unhealthy patterns as protective strategies. As we quiet the mind and offer kindness to the internal system, we promote personal growth. Moving from healing to forgiveness for self and others, if desired, will allow for the release of the limited story you have been telling yourself, and the move to embrace the life you want to start living.
I am energized by and enjoy spending time with my beautiful family, 3 daughters, 2 granddaughters, and 3 dogs. My favorite interests include, exploring new restaurants and savoring good food, discovering, and supporting local businesses, and reading a book that captures my attention.
My calming spirit is the ocean, and I am grounded by the warmth of the sunlight. Learning is my passion as it expands my knowledge and enhances a growth mindset. I appreciate innovating conversations to listen to another person with compassion and curiosity and discuss with ideas and perspectives. My life experiences contribute to my understanding and connection when someone chooses to share their story with me.
Therapy will offer the space and grace to let go of what does not serve you, and support learning how to find your personal wellbeing and healing.
Christine's office is located on the 1st floor, Suite 5.
